We’ve put together a list of Frequently Asked Questions to help to answer some of the questions you may have in your first few weeks of college.

FAQs

Yes of course. Come along to any of our enrolment events – the sooner the better to be sure to secure your place.

Don’t panic. Our careers advice team can you help you to find the right course for you. They are an independent, expert team and their advice is free, so you’ve nothing to lose. Pop along to Baltic Campus during one of our Enrolment Events. You’ll find dates and times here. Or call them on 0191 490 2216 to make an appointment.

Don’t worry, everyone will be feeling the same as you. All our staff our super friendly and we’ve got a packed Freshers’ Fortnight of fun activities and free stuff, so they’ll be lots of chances for you to make new friends.

There’s no need to where a uniform at college. We encourage everyone to be themselves, so wear whatever you feel most comfortable in, although no PJs or onesies please!

All our campuses are easy to reach by public transport. Check out our travel guides here.

No need. All students get a free breakfast of toast and/or cereal and juice between 7.45am to 8.15am at all campuses.

Each campus has a café on site where you can buy hot and cold food and drinks. Some students are entitled to free meals. To apply, collect a Free Meals Application form from Student Services at Baltic Campus or reception at any other campus.

Of course. All campuses have areas where you can eat

A notepad and pen are all you need to bring – plus your brain and plenty of enthusiasm! You might also find a tablet or laptop useful, but they’re not essential. Check your Welcome Pack which was sent to all new students in August for any other items specific to your course. If you’re unsure, call 0191 490 2246.
