“The experience and exposure I was so lucky to gain during my time at Gateshead College has enabled me to secure a university place at Loughborough University in Fine Art, and has allowed me to play netball for the University and Loughborough Lightening under 21s. Winning the 2023 Edge award for sports achievement gave me the confidence boost to succeed at university sport and thrive on my new course. With support from the Netball Academy Head Coach Julie Kimber, I also trialled and was successful on the England Colleges AoC Netball squad which exposed me to new opportunities and lead to getting scouted for the Welsh Feathers. ”
