You’ll develop practical skills and real-world experience to begin your career in the construction industry. The course covers everything you need to start working on-site including your CSCS
(Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card.

Plus you’ll also gain:

  • Essential site health and safety skills
  • Introduction to hands-on joinery and bricklaying in our purpose-built workshops
  • Site tickets* – CSCS, working at heights, manual handling, abrasive wheels 

*Up to 2 tickets dependent on job vacancies

  • Cost for any vocational tickets will also be covered eg. CSCS test fee
We’ll provide industry-standard workshops and highly skilled tutors to support your development as you complete your two-week Introduction to Construction.

Learners must be aged 19 years and over and live in a residence with a North East CA postcode.

Most people aged 19 years and over can qualify for free or reduced course fees and there are grants and bursaries you can apply for to help cover the costs of coming to college, depending on your circumstances.

If you already have a full level 3 qualification and are aged 19 years over, you can apply for an Advanced Learning Loan or pay the fee upfront.
