Skills Bootcamps in Music & Performance
Skills Bootcamps are training courses designed to help you to build sector specific skills and fast track to a guaranteed interview with a local employer at the end of the course.
Am I Eligible?
To be eligible you must:
- Be aged 19 or older on or before 31 August 2024 for bootcamps starting between 01 September 2024 and 31 March 2025
- Live in the North East Combined Authority area (Gateshead, Sunderland, South Tyneside, Newcastle, North Tyneside, Northumberland or County Durham)
- Have the right to work in the UK
Course length: 10 weeks
Times: Part time evenings, 6 hours a week
Location: Gateshead College Baltic Campus, Quarryfield Road, Gateshead NE8 3BE
Start dates: October 2024 and January 2025

This course will give you the opportunity to use our professional rehearsal and recording facilities with the view to recording and performing in a professional venue. Our industry experts will work with you to enhance your performance skills and musicianship as well as introducing you to the world of recording music ready for release. Your ambition on the course could lead you to distributing and releasing your music as well as promoting it through your own gig.
