Want to learn more about the creative and performing arts industry but not sure which route to follow? This course provides a strong foundation in the performing arts and allows you to select a specialist pathway.

You can choose one specialist area to focus upon:

  • Performing Arts - where you'll learn practical skills in singing, acting, stage management and musical theatre.
  • Dance – here you will develop your creative, technical and performance skills which are vital for progression.
  • Music Performance - develop practical skills in music performance, composition and production as well as event management.
  • Music Technology/DJ - you will be introduced to the recording studio, live sound, events management and DJing.

No matter which specialist area you choose,  you will work collaboratively with other students and build the necessary skills to succeed. You will organise and take part in performances for live audiences in our professional theatre and build your confidence as a creative.

Depending on the specialist area you choose, you will study the following units:

  • Vocal ensemble
  • Design
  • Sequencing
  • Drama

Throughout the course you will develop techniques necessary for employment in the industry. This course offers a great foundation across a selection of transferable skills, all of which are vital for studying at Level 3. It allows you time to develop your skill set, build confidence in a fun and relaxed but focussed environment
