Our Level 3 Esports and event management course offers an exciting opportunity to be part of the rapidly growing global Esports market, which is estimated to be worth over $1 billion (worldwide) in 2022 and is projected to grow by 50% over the next three years.

This course combines Creative Media and Business to provide you with the skills needed to succeed in the world of Esports.

If you’ve ever wanted to become a Twitch star, compete in national Esports competitions or organize your own event, then this course is perfect for you.

You’ll learn the fundamentals of games, Esports, and live streaming, as well as how to manage and coach a squad or your own routine.

You’ll also explore fitness and nutrition, which are essential components of the competitive gaming lifestyle.

In addition to these core skills, you’ll learn how to build your gaming empire using entrepreneurial skills and business insight.

This includes hosting competitions in-house and competing at a national level in popular games like League of Legends, Valorant, Rocket League, and Overwatch.

You’ll also have the opportunity to meet industry professionals and business owners who will offer guidance and share their own experiences.

Overall, this course is designed to challenge your preconceptions about gaming and the world of business, and help you to explore the untapped potential of the Esports community.

With the right skills and knowledge, you could be part of this exciting and potentially very profitable industry.

Assessment

All of your units will be internally assessed and you will be working on projects created by our industry partners.

Our dedicated Games Department has seen over £80,000 in investment over the last few years to ensure our students are working with industry level kit.

Liquid cooled gaming rigs and Wacom Cintqs in our cutting edge Graphic Suite and industry standard software such as; 3DS Max, Unreal Engine 4, Unity 3D and the Adobe Creative Suite.

We also have 3 cutting edge Engine Rooms and we also host our own VR lab where you can design and explore cyberspace.

Not to mention our partner PROTO on our doorstep, who allow us access to their 3D image labs and motion capture studios. It is safe to say you will be spoilt for choice.

The Esports team will support you throughout the years to take your next steps, be that with us on one of our HNC/HND Games Development courses or alternatively a degree at university in Esports including:

  • Northumbria University – Offers a BA (Hons) in Business with Marketing Management, with an optional module on Esports marketing.
  • University of Sunderland – BSc (Hons) Esports Event Management course provides an opportunity to study the world of competitive gaming and understand the factors that make a successful Esports game. It focuses on teaching the skills and knowledge needed to produce and manage Esports events, as well as the relevant technologies involved in organizing such events.

You’ll get to meet industry professionals and network with other creatives building your profile and making valuable contacts that could lead to job opportunities.

Four GCSE grades at 4 or above including English.

A Business, Digital or Sports related subject and maths are also preferred but not essential.

Our highly experienced team have worked in the industry and they will help you to level up in all areas of Esports from gaming to business planning.
