Level 2 Performance Skills

Want to learn more about the creative performance arts but not sure which route to follow? This course lets you study all aspects of performance, experiencing performing arts and music before selecting which you prefer to progress with.

On the performing arts route, you'll learn practical skills in dance, acting, stage management and musical theatre. On the music route, you'll develop practical skills in music performance, production and technology, live sound, DJ and event management. On both routes, you will work collaboratively with other students and build the necessary skills to succeed. You will curate and take part in performances for live audiences in our professional theatre and build your confidence as a creative. You will also learn how to adapt your performance skills to suit a variety of industry demands within your chosen specialism, ranging from live performance, production, technique development, enterprise, media and technology, creativity and project realisation. As well as developing your practical vocational skills you will work on strengthening vital personal skills like team building, communication, organisation, problem solving, research, planning, presentation and reflection.
