This qualification aims to give you knowledge of different specific learning difficulties, how they are diagnosed and how individuals can be supported.
The qualification can be used by a wide range of learners looking to improve their knowledge and awareness in this subject area.
Our programme is designed to equip you with the essential skills and knowledge to support individuals with learning disabilities in a variety of settings.
Our expert teachers will guide you through the process of understanding the needs and challenges of individuals with learning disabilities, and provide you with the tools and strategies to support their personal development and well-being.
You will be assessed using a wide range of assessment methods which
will
include:
- Professional discussion
- Reflective accounts of your own practice
- Written assignments
- Presentations
Your Curriculum Leader is Sarah Latheron and she works with a very diverse team of teachers and assessors.
Learners who achieve this qualification could progress to:
- Level 3 in Supporting Individuals with Learning Disabilities
- Level 3 in Education and Training
- Level 3 Certificates in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
- Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce
GCSE or equivalent at grade C or above in English and maths.
