Level 1 Cookery

This course is an introduction to cookery and will give you a a wide range of foundation food preparation and cooking skills to help you step into a job or progress onto our Level 2 in Cookerly course.

You'll train alongside our professional chefs as part of the team in our student-run restaurant Enfields Kitchen. You'll also get the chance to work with some of our external partners organising and hosting events or working as part of their teams.

This course covers the following modules:

  • Maintaining food safety when preparing and cooking  and serving food.
  • Prepare and cook basic dough products.
  • Prepare vegetables.
  • Cook vegetables.
  • Work as part of a hospitality team.
  • Prepare meat products.
  • Cook meat products.
  • Maintain customer care.
