Join our professional salon team and train in our commercial salon Botanica on this course which will help you develop the skills and knowledge you need to become a qualified beauty therapist.
You'll study the following modules:
- Facial skin therapy
- A variety of make-up techniques
- Eye treatments
- Warm waxing and hot waxing techniques
- Manicure
- Pedicure
You will also develop your customer service skills, including;
- Promoting products and services
- Effectiveness in the workplace
- Health and safety
- Reception management
- Communication
- Working as part of a team
You'll also have the opportunity to take part in extra training to add
to your skillset in particular areas such as Caflon Ear Piercing or lash
extensions with LashLift. There may be a small charge for this extra
training.
Throughout the course, we'll monitor your progress and provide constructive feedback to help you to improve where needed. We'll measure your skills and knowledge against nationally recognised standards specific to the beauty industry. We assess you in a range of ways including practical tasks in our commercial on site salon Botanica and projects from which you'll create a portfolio of evidence and written coursework and assignments.

Working with these employers means you learn the most up to date techniques and we're able to source brilliant work experience opportunities.
All practical sessions will be taught within our on site professional standard salon, Botanica where you'll work as part of the professional salon team, servicing paying clients.
You'll wear a salon uniform during the course and use a professional kit.
After the course, you'll be able to seek employment as a qualified beauty therapist, progress to an apprenticeship or continue your training on one of or Level 3 courses in beauty therapy, media make-up or nail technology.
Fast Track to an Apprenticeship
If you'd like to do an
apprenticeship but can't find a vacancy to suit you, don't worry. You can start
on this course and then fast-track to an apprenticeship part-way through once a
vacancy becomes available and if you're making good progress on the
course.
You'll need to buy a uniform and a professional kit. We'll let you know the prices during the application process and help you to source these items through our preferred suppliers, ensuring you get the best value for money. Funding support is also available to those who meet the eligibility criteria. Ask us for more information at out enrolment events.
There may be an extra charge for any additional training you choose to do with us, for example Caflon Ear Piercing or lash extensions with LashLift. We'll share all prices with you before you sign up.
This course is free to those aged under 19 years old.
Most people aged 19 years and over can qualify for free or reduced price
course fees and there are grants and bursaries you can apply for to help cover
the costs of coming to college, depending on your circumstances.
If you already have a full level 3 qualification and are aged 19 years over, you can apply for an Advanced Learning Loan or pay the fee upfront in full and qualify for a 10% discount.
