IMI Level 3 Award in Automotive Refridgerant Handling

This qualification is for automotive technicians who work with vehicles fitted with air conditioning who are looking to develop new skills and enhance existing ones. It incorporates a Refrigerant Handling (EC842-2006) qualification. This unit is approved by Defra for Air Conditioning Technicians (working with cars and car derived vans) who handle F-gas.

All Air Conditioning technicians must now have achieved, as a minimum requirement, a Defra-approved refrigerant handling meeting the EU F-gas regulations (Commission Regulation EC 842/2006 and the Annex to Commission Regulation EC 307/2008). This is a legal requirement for all technicians working on air conditioning systems (cars and car derived vans).

This course is designed to inform you of the new legislation covering regulations related to handling and serving air conditioning systems (EC307/2008).
