This qualification is designed for those people who may encounter accident damaged or broken-down electric vehicles, for example emergency services, roadside recovery operators or automotive technicians. It contains the knowledge required to work safely around a vehicle's high and low voltage electrical system and electric drive train system.

Accredited by the IMI, this qualification will help you to gain an understanding of the dangers surrounding electric vehicles and the steps you need to take to avoid potential injury. It's ideal for those working in the retail automotive trade or those in public services such as members of the emergency services who may need to attend accidents involving electric vehicles.

This qualifications has been developed by the IMI in parntership with electric vehicle manufacturers, component suppliers and the IMI Sector Skills Council.
