Do you see yourself as a future leader? Want to develop skills demanded by employers? If so, then this course could be for you.

You will learn how to manage a successful business by developing your knowledge and skills in areas such as people management, finance and business behaviours.

You’ll get to practice what you have learned too, by attending fortnightly board meetings, taking on the role of different board members to solve business issues.

In the first year, you’ll develop an understanding of a broad range of issues relevant to the business sector, including:

  • Business context – you’ll explore organisational cultures and values, the role of both internal and external stakeholders, different forms of governance and the impact of organisations on society and the environment.
  • Project and change management – understanding change management theories and models are an essential part of working in business and will help you to support and improve projects in the workplace. This is an in-demand skill area.
  • Business behaviours – you’ll gain an understanding of the importance of good communication and how to adapt styles for different purposes, methods and audiences.
  • Quality and compliance – you’ll learn about the importance of maintaining and improving quality in all aspects of public and private sector organisations to satisfy consumers and public needs in an efficient and legal way.

In the second year, you’ll put everything you have learned into practice working on an employer set project and specialising in one of three areas:

  • Team Leadership and Management
  • Business Support
  • Business Improvement

Your second year will also include a comprehensive work placement to further develop your skills, putting you in the best position to progress on to University, apprenticeships or traineeships with the skills demanded by employers.

Assessment

There will be a range of assessments on the course from exams, assignments and employer set projects to ensure you have gained the knowledge skills and behaviours you need progress on to your next step, whether that’s higher education, an apprenticeship or employment.

After completion of the T-Level in Management and Administration you’ll be able to choose progression pathways including university, higher apprenticeships and traineeships.

This course is specifically designed for people aged 16-18 with 5 GCSEs grade 5 or above including maths and English.

They have up to date industry experience to share with you and the energy and enthusiasm to help you to get where you need to be.

We have a range of specialist teachers in HR, marketing, leadership and finance.

All students will complete a 315 hour work experience placement to fully prepare them for the world of work.

While on placement students will gain vital skills and behaviours that they can take into the world of work.

You will also work closely with the employer on a range of set projects to give you the knowledge and experience needed to take your first steps into the employment market.
