You’ll have the opportunity to interact and learn from some of the region’s largest businesses and hear from inspirational entrepreneurs who will share their experiences with you.

The skills and knowledge you gain will help you decide the direction you want your career to take and specialise in an area you’re most interested in, choosing from:

Assessment

We will use a range of methods such as written tests, verbal questioning, professional discussions, role plays and production of documents and assignments.

This course is designed to enable you to progress on to a Level 3 Business and Management course here at Gateshead College or a Level 2/3 apprenticeship.

On completion of the Level 3 qualification, you’ll have the UCAS points needed to advance onto a university course or Higher level Apprenticeship.

This course is specifically designed for people aged 16-18 with 4 GCSEs in any subjects at a grade 4 or above, or equivalent.

Our teachers are ambitious, talented and passionate about making your experience at college the very best it can be.

They have up to date industry experience to share with you and the energy and enthusiasm to help you to get where you need to be.

Working as part of a team, you’ll be involved in an Enterprise Challenge to pitch a business idea with a limited budget and make a profit.

Putting into practice what you’ve learnt in the classroom, you’ll develop your communication skills, teamwork skills, marketing, sales, and finance skills to a real-life scenario that you can use in your applications and job interviews.
