This course will give you the skills and knowledge to work in an automation or electrical maintenance role in the engineering sector.
You’ll get to grips with using a range of equipment including:
You’ll study the following subjects:
PEO or Diploma at Level 2 (or equivalent competence qualification) four GCSEs at 5 or above including English and maths.
You will be assessed by a range of practical assessments and knowledge assessments to determine competency in each subject.
These qualifications have been developed to provide learners with an advanced knowledge and understanding of the practices and processes of engineering technologies.
They cover knowledge, understanding and skills that have been identified to operate effectively in a job role within the Engineering Sector and are relevant to a wide variety of study routes.
They are based on National Occupational Standards (NOS) for engineering, which are statements of performance that describe what competent people in a particular occupation or task are expected to be able to do, and so contribute to developing the skills and knowledge that have been identified to operate effectively in job roles within the Engineering Sector.
Our highly experienced team of engineers will work with you to help you build the skills and knowledge employers require for your career in engineering.
Each of the team has served their time in their industries and can use their skillset to help prepare you for your career.
You will take part in a meaningful work experience placement with one our of partners.
The placement will be designed to help you put your learning into practice and will offer a valuable opportunity to get a taste of the real world of work, feedback from engineering mentors and the chance to see for yourself what an apprenticeship or job in engineering might be like.
