At Botanica, you’ll have the unique opportunity to train under the guidance of industry experts, following an innovative programme that covers a range of advanced techniques essential for a career in beauty.

Throughout your training at Botanica, you’ll be taught the following units, equipping you with the essential skills and expertise needed to excel in the beauty industry:

  • Working with Colleagues in Beauty-Related Industries
    Learn the importance of collaboration and teamwork in the beauty industry, building strong relationships with colleagues and understanding the broader beauty landscape.
  • Monitor and Maintain Health and Safety Practice in the Salon
    Prioritise the safety of clients and staff with comprehensive training on health and safety protocols, ensuring a secure and comfortable salon environment.
  • Promote and Sell Products and Services to Clients
    Master the art of product and service promotion, learning effective sales techniques to enhance client satisfaction and boost salon revenue.
  • Provide Body Massages:
    Dive into the art of body massage, mastering relaxation techniques and therapeutic practices to offer clients a truly indulgent and rejuvenating experience.
  • Provide Facial Electrotherapy Treatment
    Explore advanced facial electrotherapy treatments, learning techniques to address various skin concerns and enhance skin health and appearance.
  • Provide Body Electrotherapy Treatment
    Delve into the realm of body electrotherapy, offering clients innovative treatments that rejuvenate and revitalise the skin, promoting overall wellness.
  • Provide Self-Tanning
    Learn the art of self-tanning, mastering techniques to achieve a natural and even tan, enhancing clients’ confidence and appearance.
  • Apply Micro-Dermabrasion Techniques
    Acquire skills in micro-dermabrasion techniques, offering clients effective exfoliation and skin rejuvenation treatments to reveal smoother and brighter skin.
  • Provide Body Stone Therapy Treatments
    Discover the therapeutic benefits of body stone therapy, learning techniques to provide clients with a relaxing and revitalising experience using heated stones.

Required Entry Qualifications

A Level 2 in Beauty Therapy. Plus an informal interview with a member of the teaching team.

Throughout the course, we’ll monitor your progress and provide constructive feedback to help you to improve where needed.

We’ll measure your skills and knowledge against nationally recognised standards specific to the beauty sector.

We assess you in a range of ways including practical tasks carried out in our on site salon, Botanica, projects from which you’ll create a portfolio of evidence and written coursework and assignments.

You may need to provide your own clients for assessments.

All courses are delivered by highly skilled and experienced teachers who design their sessions to accomodate different learning styles and abilities as much as possible.

  • Clarins – Delve into the world of premium skincare and beauty treatments with Clarins’ innovative products and techniques.

All practical sessions will be taught within our on site professional standard salon, Botanica where you’ll work as part of the professional salon team, serving paying clients.

You’ll wear a salon uniform during the course and use a professional kit.

  • We’re a part of the Green Salon Collective, a company that offer Zero-to-Landfill Salon Recycling Solutions for Hairdressers.
  • Our hair, foils and metal tubes are recycled.
  • We use eco-heads, shower heads that reduce water use by around 70%.
  • Our beauty supplier is Eve Taylor and for every product we buy, they plant a tree.
  • We don’t print our learning portfolios, they’re all online.
  • We use the Wella Hero platform, which helps the students gain knowledge on all aspects education in the hair industry including sustainable salon operations.

After the course, you’ll be ready for employment in the beauty sector or you can progress onto a Level 4 in Advanced Beauty Therapy Techniques.

 

You’ll need to buy a uniform and a professional kit.

We’ll let you know the prices during the application process and help you to source these items through our preferred suppliers, ensuring you get the best value for money.

Funding support is also available to those who meet the eligibility criteria. Ask us for more information at our enrolment events.

There may be an extra cost for any additional training you choose to take with us for example for lash extensions, intimate waxing or glycolic facials.

Students will also have the opportunity to participate in additional training, working with Ellisons MyLash / Lash Ext, Glycolic Facials and Intimate Waxing and many more (subject to additional costs).
