What you will do in your working day

• Work in the factory on all aspects of producing hose and coupling assemblies, including handling materials, hose preparation, crimping, testing, labelling, and packing. Perform inspection and service of products.
• Assist in the development and improvement of the factory unit.
• Adhere to company standards and procedures in line with ISO 9001:2015, working alongside API Q1 standards.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship and produce top-quality products.
• Comply with company Health & Safety standards.
• Maintain a safe working environment at all times.
• Potential to work away at customer sites (with experience).

The role involves producing hose and coupling assemblies, including material handling, crimping, testing, labeling, and packing. Responsibilities include product inspections and servicing to ensure quality, while also contributing to factory improvements for better efficiency and functionality.

 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will work towards the Level 3 Engineering Fitter apprenticeship standard with Gateshead College.
