What you will do in your working day

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Marketing Apprentice to join our growing marketing team at an exciting time for the business. This is a hands-on role that will give you the opportunity to experience a wide range of marketing activities, from photography and video production to social media, content creation, SEO, exhibitions and advertising. You won’t just be learning about marketing from a textbook. You’ll be getting involved in real projects, creating content that will be seen by our customers and industry, and developing practical skills across a broad range of marketing disciplines.

General Responsibilities:

A large part of your role will involve creating engaging visual and written content for Slaters Electricals. Your responsibilities will include:

• Taking high-quality photographs of our transformers, switchgear, equipment, facilities and projects
• Editing and preparing images for use across our website and social media channels
• Creating and editing video content for LinkedIn and other social media platforms
• Operating our drone to capture aerial photography and video of our facilities, equipment and projects
• Writing social media posts and other marketing content
• Planning and publishing content across our website, LinkedIn and other social media channels

This is not just a role about content, photography and video production, you will also have the opportunity to:

• Learn about SEO and how to optimise content for search engines
• Help plan and organise exhibitions and events
• Supporting third-party advertising and promotional campaigns
• Helping to maintain and update marketing materials
• Monitoring social media and marketing performance
• Coming up with new ideas for content and campaigns
• Working with different teams across the business to identify interesting projects, products and stories to share
