Gateshead College is seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to join our Board of Governors as an Independent Governor. We are particularly interested in candidates with skills or experience in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEN) or careers guidance. We would be looking for this recruit to join our College Board and our Curriculum & Quality Standards Committee.

About the Role
As an Independent Governor, you will play a crucial role in providing support, challenge, and oversight to the senior leaders of the College. You will contribute to the strategic direction and governance of the College, ensuring that we continue to deliver high-quality education and support to our students.
Our Board meets 4 times per year, plus 2 strategy days. These meetings are scheduled to take place on a Wednesday, running from 4pm to 6pm.
Our Curriculum and Quality Standards Committee meets 4 times per year. These meetings are scheduled to take place on a Thursday, running from 4pm to 6pm.
