Set in the heart of Gateshead's Creative Quarter at the new £39million Baltic Campus, the Digital Academy combines state-of-the-art facilities with cutting edge subject knowledge to prepare you for a career in Creative Digital Technologies.

Developing talent for the creative digital industries

Devised in partnership with the region's creative sector, our full time programmes deliver highly specialised skills directly in line with employers' needs. Upon graduation from the Academy you will be equipped with industry level knowledge and ready for entry into employment.

You may choose to go on to study further and you'll be well prepared to study a diverse range of subjects. From design and media to music and games our aim is to deliver the individuals set to make an impact on the future of the industry.

Take your skills to the next level

The Digital Academy also offers a range of part time courses which are shorter (averaging 10 weeks) with a more introductory approach to covering the basics of their subject area. Aimed at enhancing your digital skills, these courses are ideal for hobbyists and enthusiasts wanting to take their interest to the next level.

Industry standard facilities with expert tuition

You will be taught by a range of experienced and supportive staff who will guide you throughout your time at the academy. We ensure that you are taught the relevant skills that you will need to progress to higher education or employment. We use industry standard software in our excellently resourced Digital Academy Media Centre.

We specialise in AfterEffects, Flash, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, 3DS Max and and Lightwave amongst others. No experience with these applications is required; we will teach you all you need to know.

• Dedicated Games Production Suite fully equipped with industry standard software and hardware
