Gateshead College is working in partnership with sales performance and transformation consultancy, durhamlane, to officially launch a Sales Academy training programme aimed at aspiring young professionals.
Starting in April 2018, the Sales Academy will give a unique insight about what it takes to be a successful sales professional. Over six weeks, this immersive programme builds the skills and positive mind set for success, underpinned by durhamlane’s ‘Selling at a Higher Level’ methodology and toolkit.
The Sales Academy programme consists of four weeks intensive training, one-week sales placement and one week for coaching and preparation for interviews for a full-time professional sales roles.
Successful participants will graduate from the Sales Academy with a valuable certificate of attendance and achievement and an understanding of what it takes to be a successful sales and business professional. The goal of the programme is for every participant to graduate with a full-time role by the end of the six week period.

The initiative has been funded through the Go>Grow scheme, a regional skills and enterprise programme being delivered in partnership with 30 local training providers. It was launched after Gateshead College secured £15m of funding from the European Social Fund through the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA).
