Principal and Chief Executive Judith Doyle has been named as one of the most influential people in the North East.
The publication, compiled by The Journal, honours individuals who have the capacity to shape the future of the North East. Focussing on the private sector, Judith is amongst a selected few from the public sector to be included.
Judith said: “Further education plays a vital role in our region. From providing young people with the skills and confidence they need to succeed to helping employers build a talented workforce to supporting the unemployed back to work, our education and training is essential to building a strong and skilled economy.
“I’m delighted to be recognised alongside my colleagues from the public and private sector who all work so hard to ensure our region is a fantastic place to study, live, work and do business.”
This announcement comes in a year that saw Judith lead the college to achieve a Grade One Outstanding rating from Ofsted and be named as the best performing college in the region for success rates and the third best performing in the country.
