Visitors exploring a Northumberland forest will find there's more to the lush green landscape than meets the eye thanks to the work of a former Gateshead College student.
Kielder Water and Forest Park is the location selected by budding photographer, Rebecca Whitcombe, for her 'Reflections' exhibition. The aim is that her photography will be seen by a much more diverse audience outside of the usual art gallery setting.
Rebecca studied A Level photography at Gateshead College and has gone on to study towards a BA Hons in Photography, Video and Digital Imaging at the University of Sunderland. She has also set-up an e-zine for fine art and photography.
Rebecca commented: “I’m overjoyed to be showcasing my work at such a beautiful location. I hope to show art in a more exciting and mindful way. It’s a great opportunity and experience and I’m interested to see what the feedback and reaction will be.”
The exhibition will be in place at Kielder's Mirage Deck until May 10 to find out more information visit http://www.kielderartandarchitecture.com/reflections.html.
