Next Steps:

Short listing is carried out by the recruiting manager, based on an assessment of the information you have provided on your appplication form against the essential criteria defined on the person specification. Only those candidates who most fully meet the essential criteria for the job will be short listed. Where we have vacancies with a high volume of applications, we reserve the right to utilise desirable criteria in addition to the essential for short listing purposes.

Candidates who are successful at short listing stage will be invited to an interview. As well as giving you a chance to see what it is like to work here, we will give you a fair opportunity to show us your stuff!

As part of our Equal Opportunities Policy, all interview panels will normally consist of at least three people and will include both men and women.

The College is committed to the employment of disabled people. To demonstrate this commitment, we subscribe to the two ticks scheme which guarantees an interview to all disabled applicants who meet the essential criteria as outlined in the person specification.

In addition to an interview you may be asked to undertake an assessment during your selection process but you will be told beforehand if there will be an assessment involved. It may be:

  • Delivering a presentation
  • Delivering a micro-teach
  • In-tray exercise
  • Numeracy/Literact/ICT tests

It really depends on the role that you are applying for.

We will keep you informed of how your application is progressing via email, including any invitation to interview. Please keep a regular check on your inbox!
