Almost every vacancy at Gateshead College can be found on our
website.
This is our preferred way to receive your application.
It's the quickest, cheapest, and greenest method. To search and

Please don't send us a hard copy in the post if you've already

Closing times, unless otherwise specified within the advert, are
at midnight on the closing date. Any applications received
after the closing date cannot be considered.
Acknowledgement of receipt of your online application will be
sent out automatically to you by email once the system registers
your application.
Short listing is carried out by members of the interview panel
and is based on an assessment of the information you have provided
on your application form against criteria defined on the personnel
specification. Candidates who most fully meet the criteria
for the job will be shortlisted.
Interviews at the College, as well as giving you an opportunity
to see what it is like to work here, will give you a fair
opportunity to show us your stuff!
As part of our Equal Opportunities Policy, all interview panels
will normally consist of at least three people and will include
both men and women.
You may be asked to take a test during your selection process,
but you will be told beforehand if there will be a test involved.
It may be:
- Delivering a presentation
- Delivering a lesson
- Answering questions on a case study
- Accuracy/numeracy/IT tests.
It really depends on the job you are applying for.
