Overview

TAQA level 3

TAQA is the essential qualification for people working in vocational training and assessment. TAQA demonstrates an organisation’s commitment to quality assessment and internal quality assurance.

The new TAQA qualifications are meant to be accessible to anyone assessing or quality assuring learning. This learning might be someone learning how to carry out tasks but not doing a qualification, it might be someone in a volunteer placement, on a work experience programme, doing a qualification such as Key Skills, Essential Skills.

TAQA ensures that staff are involved in internal quality assurance practice have the knowledge, understanding and competence to assess work-based qualifications and to efficiently and effectively manage the internal quality process.

Entry Requirements 

A minimum of GCSE grade C in English & Maths

 

Level 3 equivalent in your subject specialism & occupational competence

 

You must have active access to learners in a vocational setting and or an occupational setting (i.e. Apprentices)

 

Whilst working towards this qualification, your assessment decisions must be countersigned by a qualified assessor (D32/33 A1 or TAQA 3) 

City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement.
Completion of the Level 3 TAQA certificate enables you assess your specialist subject within a vocational setting and an occupational setting.
There are 3 units to be completed for this qualification. You may also consider progression to our Level 3 Award in education or an alternate route TAQA level 4 Internal Quality Assurer

An interview is required and a DBS check is required.

Qualifications needed

2 GCSEs grade C (4) or above in English and maths.

The cost of this course varies depending on your age and circumstances.

If you are under 19 years old, this course is free.

If you are aged over 19 years old you may qualify for free or reduced price course fees, depending on your circumstances.

If you already have a full level 3 qualification and are aged 19 years over, you can apply for an Advanced Learning Loan or pay the fee upfront in full and qualify for a 10% discount.
