You’ll study all aspects of the travel and tourism industry including world and UK holiday destinations and attractions. You will develop your knowledge of the travel and tourism industry, looking at how airlines, tour operators, hotels, travel agents and visitor attractions operate.  
You will develop skills around customer service and explore how to sell travel and tourism products. Due to the popularity of a job as a holiday representative you will also get the chance to develop your knowledge and understanding of the role by greeting passengers on arrival and presenting a welcome meeting.

  • Retail travel services
  • Worldwide destinations.
  • Exploring the Aviation Industry

This courses is delivered by a team of qualified staff who all have industry experience, the courses will include trips' and visits, it is expected that you will attend at least one to gain valuable experience. 

You will gain valuable work experience in a real environment as well as attend visits to travel and tourism destinations and organisations. You could enter employment as a holiday representative, travel adviser, hotel receptionist or a role within an airline or tourist attraction.


Fast-track to an apprenticeship

If you can’t find the right apprenticeship vacancy or you want to do some studying first - no problem. You can start on a vocational study programme then once you’re ready and a vacancy becomes available, we’ll help you transfer on to an apprenticeship.

Qualifications needed

4 GCSEs grade D-G (3-1) preferably including maths and English, or a BTEC Introductory Diploma or Certificate in a related subject.

Required experience

We welcome all applicants without any prior experience or knowledge in this area. You will need motivation to achieve and have a passion to gain skills enabling you to progress this as a career in the future.

This course is free to those aged under 19 years old.

Most people aged 19 years and over can qualify for free or reduced price course fees and there are grants and bursaries you can apply for to help cover the costs of coming to college, depending on your circumstances.
