The hospitality industry is a fast growing sector in the North East, so there are plenty of  job opportunities. Businesses such as hotels, restaurants and visitor attractions are all looking for staff who have the ability to manage and supervise: there is a recognition in the industry that many staff need opportunities for more formal training in order to progress to a management role.

This qualification is designed to improve your employability and help you demonstrate your current skills by achieving a nationally recognised qualification.

If you are already employed in the industry, you can complete the core modules of the programme by committing to one afternoon per week at college and gain the remaining evidence needed from your workplace. If you would like to study this course full time you can gain work experience in the college's Greenhouse brasserie or our student-run restaurant, Enfields Kitchen. You will also get the opportunity to manage events, supervise, mentor and advise learners on Level 1 and 2 programmes.

You'll take part in a group project such as organising a charity event or black tie dinner.
