Health and Social Care

Health and social care are growing sectors of the economy. Longer life expectancy, a growing population and the availability of new treatments are all serving to push up demand. But, there is also a strong drive for increased efficiency and value for money. Staff skills and capabilities are a crucial factor in achieving the desired outcomes.

We offer courses in different aspects of health and social care, including:

• Personal and social development
• Awareness of mental health and dementia
• Prevention and control of infection
• End of life care
• Working with children and young people
• Working in the health sector

In certain circumstances some public funding may be available to support the delivery of these courses. 

Courses are held at our Baltic Campus on the Quayside, a state-of-the-art facility. All our staff are appropriately qualified and have relevant industry experience.

Other courses can be designed and delivered to meet employer's specific needs.
